The Room

Somewhere worth gathering

Tucked behind the pub, our Medieval Function Room is a private space entirely your own: whitewashed stone walls hung with old farm tools, a soaring open roof, wrought-iron chandeliers and long banqueting tables that seat anywhere from 12 to 44 guests.

It suits almost any occasion — special occasions and birthdays, anniversaries and leaving parties, family and friends’ gatherings, club and society lunches and dinners. The same kitchen that serves the pub looks after the room, so we can put together a menu to match the day, whether that is a relaxed buffet or a full sit-down meal.

Private & self-contained

Long tables and benches for a party of forty-four, or an intimate dozen at one end. The room is yours for the occasion, with its own door onto the yard.

Sport & movie nights

A big-screen projector for the football, the rugby and the big race, or for a film night with the room darkened and the fire lit next door.

Free Minibus

From 6pm

Our own 16-seater minibus runs a free shuttle for guests from 6pm, and will run your party home again at the end of the night. Ask when you book.

On the Big Screen

Football, finals & film nights

The function room has a cinema projector, which makes it the best seat in the village for a big match. Get a group together for the football or the rugby, watch it properly on the big screen, and have the bar and the kitchen right next door.

It works just as well for a movie night, a slideshow at a birthday or a presentation for a club dinner. Let us know what you would like to put on the screen and we will set it up.
